Donald C. West D.D.S. has been practicing General Dentistry in Sweetwater County for over 30 years. He was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Utah and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He has been married to Jeanine T. West for 43 years. They are the parents of 7 wonderful children, and the grandparents of 8 grandchildren. Dr. and Mrs. West are active in the community; they helped start the Sweetwater County Performing Arts Guild and have been responsible for 30+ years of Classical Ballet in southwest Wyoming. Dr. West was the founding president of the Green River Spurs Soccer Association, and served on the local school board. Dr. West is currently serving as the secretary for the Sweetwater County Community Board of Health. Dr. West has been practicing General Dentistry in Green River, Wyoming since 1980. He loves being a dentist; his motto is simple, "Have Fun at the Dentist."

Dr. Donald C. West, D.D.S.

Dr. West began his practice, West Family Dentistry, in 1980. He was born and raised in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. After graduating from the University of Utah, he attended Northwestern Dental School in Chicago, Illinois. He made the choice to open a practice in Green River, Wyoming so that he and his wife could live closer to family. Dr. West has always enjoyed getting to know his patients, and also creating a professional relationship with them. He chose to go into the field of dentistry to help people with their oral health as well as improve their smiles. Since he moved to Green River, Dr. West has served on various boards and community organizations. He and his wife founded the Sweetwater Performing Arts Guild in 1985; where they produced classical ballets for 25 years. From 1984 – 1992 he was on the Sweetwater County School Board #2; which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also assisted in founding the Green River Spurs Soccer (as several of his son’s loved the sport). Dr. West is currently on the Sweetwater County Board of Health (from 2013-present), which he is proud to be a member of. His interests include the following: yard work, singing, dancing, and performing. He has been in numerous college productions at WWCC, UW and CWC; and has become known in Green River as “The Singing Dentist.” Often times, patients will be in our office, and will hear him singing show-tunes. In his free time, you will find Dr. West spending time with his family (of which he is very proud of). He and his wife “Tag” are parents to 7 children, 6 in-laws, and 12 grandchildren (with another one on the way). One thing Dr. West would like to say is, “when asked when I plan on retiring, my reply is that I love my profession. Dentistry is my passion and my hobby. Dentistry invigorates me. I am still continuing to enjoy working, I love my staff and I have fun doing my job. Therefore, I don’t have any plans on retiring any time soon.”

Lauren Johnston (Dental Hygienist)

Lauren has been a dental hygienist since 2014. She came to West Family Dentistry in July 2020. She is married to Brad and together they have 6 children (19, 18, 11, 9, 3, and 1). Lauren truly cares about my patients, and has their best interest at heart. She enjoys educating them to their specific needs and treating them with the highest standard of care. She thrives on relationships and being a friendly face in the office during these uncertain times. “Working for Dr. West has brought back my passion for dentistry. I love that West Family Dentistry is a true family based practice, where we all strive to support each other and wish success for all that enter our practice (both patients and staff).

Heather Luzmoor (Office Manager)

Heather has been with West Family Dentistry since she was 16 years old. She took a break from working from 2007-2019, and then returned to our office to be our office manager in October 2019. Heather loves working for Dr. West, and the staff at West Family Dentistry. Heather grew up in Green River. After living away from Wyoming for a few years, she decided to return to Wyoming to marry her husband. They live in Rock Springs and are parents to 3 daughters and 1 son. Heather’s interests include singing, crafting, watching movies, organizing and most importantly spending time with her family. “We are true Disney fans, and when we have the time and the funds, we love to go to Disneyland

Amor de la Riva (Dental Assistant)

Amor has been with West Family Dentistry since 2011. She was born in the Philippines, and later immigrated to the United States. She is proud to now be a Citizen of the United States. Amor married the love of her life in 2017. They are parents to 4 children. Amor loves the variety at the office, where each day and each patient are different. She loves getting to know and interact with such a variety of patients. She also loves that her job here entails a variety of procedures, which she appreciates as she loves learning. Her interests include dancing, singing, cooking and maintaining a clean house. In Amor’s words, “I love the people I work beside. Domieka Fernandez (Dental Assistant)

Domieka has been with West Family Dentistry since 2016. She enjoys working at West Family Dentistry because she loves making her patients feel comfortable and at ease while they are visiting our office. Domieka was born and raised in Lander, Wyoming. She and her husband Jon, just celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

Stephanie Anderson (Dental Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist)

Stephanie is excited to be working at West Family Dentistry. She came to our office in 2021, but has been working in the dental field for 10 years. She is excited to learn what systems and skills are used in our practice. Stephanie has brought to our practice a wealth of dental knowledge and experience. She was raised here in Green River. After high school, Stephanie joined the Marines and was with them until 1997, and then returned to Green River to be closer to family and friends. She has two children (a son and a daughter). In her free time you will most likely see Stephanie spending time with her family playing games.
